Hi, I'M AIDA
I hold a PhD on Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs), and a M.Eng in Design Engineering both from Imperial College.

I design, test, characterise and break systems built on DLTs.
I love all things crypto(graphy and currencies!)

As you can see from my portfolio, I am very multi-disciplinary. You'll find practical technical experience, software projects, theoretical research and my personal hobbies. Let's connect!

Developed the course syllabus, teaching material and logistics of two teaching modules offered by Imperial College: Machine Learning and Distributed Ledger Technologies for the Sharing Economy.
Teaching Assistant for modules of Computing, Industrial Engineering Project, Data Science, Machine Learning and Sharing Economy.
2021
Distributed Ledger Researcher
Researched advanced cryptographic techniques, including zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) for secure financial transactions and scalability.
Developed novel, fair and decentralised applications for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) applications including: data market designs, consensus algorithms and dispute resolution mechanisms.
Uncovered numerous DLT governance vulnerabilities.
2022
Security Researcher
Conducted in-depth security analysis of Decentralised Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
Identified critical privacy vulnerabilities in Aragon DAO’s voting protocol, which were later exploited in a $163M breach.
2019
Undergraduate Researcher
Designed, manufactured and tested a novel reconfigurable tetromino robot using additive manufacturing.
Developed real-time vision-based control of the robot and implemented the control and actuation in microcontrollers.
2020
Computer Vision Engineering Intern
Developed a real time image recognition system to sort recycling waste on a Raspberry Pi training the YOLOv3 algorithm on a custom dataset and using Docker, a Flask API and Amazon Web Services.
2019
Solar Panel Workshop Coordinator
Selected as a participant to receive training and become a workshop facilitator.
Teach workshops on how to build your own DIY solar panel, ran workshops at Imperial College in collaboration with Energy Society, as well as monthly.
