European youth parliament
I shortlisted in my school to participate in the regional European Youth Parliament competition team as a delegate from Kings College, and our team was one of the three selected teams to proceed to nationals. We then also moved on to international competitions as we became selected to become members of European Youth Parliament Spain.
We then went to Batumi, Georgia's International Forum competition as our first international assignment.
At EYP, we do research on the EU's pressing issues, such as the refugee crisis, or its Energy Policy, and in committees of 8 members we collate our research and we work on resolutions that the EU should implement in order to address these issues. These are then presented and debated in the General Assembly, wherein other members can argue and discuss the adequacy of these measures.
