INCLUSIVE GAME CONTROLLER
Our second year Engineering and Design group project was a hand held power tool for an under served user group.
We chose to make an inclusive game controller that would make playing video games to people with a visual impairment more accessible.
We developed a fully functioning prototype of the game controller, user tested it continuously throughout our prototyping journey with a person with a visual impairment, we also made a game to demonstrate the innovative features our design has, as well as making a circuit board to make the controller compatible with conventional video games.
Furthermore, we created a complete design for the packaging, a business model and an app prototype for what the whole product service would offer its customers.
Group project with Bettina Sosa, Harvey Upton and Saym Hussain.
Our project won the GOLD award of the Product and Structural Design category of the worldwide competition Creative Conscience.
