I was the project manager of the Energy Society Wind Project. We took this project to another height, not only building a fully functional Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine, but also carrying out extensive research and contacting other lecturers at Imperial College to offer us advice on the next steps of our project journey: optimising the overall energy extraction of a wind farm.

We'd successfully completed the practical aspect of this project, as well as the research aspect, and we left all the ground work ready for the next year's incoming team to take it on board. We achieved all our planned work in the expected timeframe and we exhibited our turbine at the Imperial College Summer Festival, which has an annual attendance of 20, 000 people.
